At KORA MIKINO we believe that Sustainable femcare is more than just a sustainable hygiene product. To us, Sustainable femcare is an attitude. A mindset.
We create products that give security. Products that don't treat our flow as a taboo, but declare it as the most natural thing in the world. And all this in a manner that conserves resources, in a way that is fair and free of animal cruelty. This way, we do not only benefit our natural cycle, but also protect the environmental cycles. We are here for a natural flow in a natural balance with nature.
Period Panties: How do they work?
SmartLayer technology instead of an inlay
Our Period Panties have an invisible and millimetre-thin SmartLayer insert in the crotch area, which is integrated into the fabric. This consists of two layers. One layer absorbs your flow, and the second layer underneath prevents liquid from leaking through.
Strong absorbent power
Our period underwear absorbs up to 30ml of fluid. This is around the amount of 3 normal tampons. This makes it possible to wear the panty for up to 12 hours at a time.
Washing period underwear
Menstrual underwear should be rinsed under cold, running water after each use - and then machine washed at 40°C.
Sustainable & reusable
Our period briefs are sustainable and reusable, so you can use them over and over again. The panties can be worn just like normal underwear instead of conventional hygiene products.
Advantages of period panties
Comfortable to Wear
How comfortable is period underwear? You might compare it to other hygiene products, but in reality period underwear doesn't feel like diapers or nappies - they are actually very comfortable. It feels the same as wearing normal underwear, and the best part is, that nothing slips or leaks!
Period Panties are much more sustainable than pads or tampons - as they can be used over and over again, you aren't producing any single-use waste. KORA MIKINO Panties are produced in Germany.
How expensive is period underwear? It might surprise you, but it's actually cheaper in the medium term than buying pads and tampons every month. Once bought, you can wear them again and again. This means you can save a lot of money over the years by switching to period panties.
With our period panties, you support the fight against period poverty worldwide and sustainably. For every pair of Slip Sivvy or Hipster Hannah sold, we donate 0,33 EUR to the Period Pledge.
